No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. See sections 7 and 8 of the licence.

Intended use

This is forensic software, for examining evidence you are authorised to examine. Reading a backup requires either that it is unencrypted or that you supply its password; the library performs no password recovery and circumvents no access control.

Whether you are authorised to examine a given backup is a question of law and of your engagement, and this software neither establishes nor assumes it.
