Privacy Policy¶

journald-forensic is an open-source Rust library and command-line tool that runs entirely on your own machine.

No data collection. The software does not transmit, upload, or share any data. Journal files and their contents never leave your computer.
No telemetry. There is no analytics, crash reporting, phone-home, or network activity of any kind in the libraries or CLI.
No accounts. The software requires no registration, login, or API key.

Any journal files you analyse are processed locally and the results are written only to the output you direct (stdout, a file you name, or your own integration). You are solely responsible for handling the evidence and reports you generate in accordance with your jurisdiction's laws and your engagement's chain-of-custody requirements.

This policy applies to the software as distributed via crates.io and GitHub. It does not cover forks or modified copies.
